  • June 2010 Meeting Recap

    Hey Folks!

    One of our former members works out on the Silverlight team in Redmond. He's asked us to get a gauge on the level of interest in RIA Services. Please take a few moments to fill out this 2 question survery.

    Last month Mike Eaton gave us a great introduction to Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and talked to us about the new features in WPF 4. 

    Phil Japikse showed us some cool features to incorporate into our Windows 7 development.

    This month Tim Wingfield will be coming down from Columbus to talk to us about using IronRuby to make unit testing our code simpler.

    Michael Kramer will grok Albacore from 10,000 Feet.

    July CINNUG - Testing Your C# with IronRuby by Tim Wingfield
    Tuesday, July 27th - 6:00PM; Social Time - 5:30PM - MAX Technical Training - Mason, OH

    Tim Wingfield will be coming down from Columbus to talk to us about using IronRuby to make unit testing our code simpler. This talk is going to go into testing our C# code with IronRuby, and what advantages there are to this.

  • July Bitslingers is cancelled

    We had previously advertised that the July Bitslingers would be held on Monday, July 5th; however, that falls on a holiday for most folks.  So, we will meet for Bitslingers again on Monday, August 2nd instead.

    What is BitSlingers?

    This is an informal meetup of people interested in learning from one another. Bring your laptop and pair up with someone to work on an open source project, learn a new technique, or even dabble in a new language. There is no agenda or specific topic, just a time set aside for people to pair.

    The meetup officially kicks off at 6:00PM, but lasts until the last pair breaks up, or they kick us out. Feel free to come and join us for as long, or as short, of a time as you want to.

    NOTE: There will be no food provided, but hey, we're at Panera.
