    IT Martini Hour 9: IT's Spring Again
    Thursday, April 29th – 5:30PM to 8:30PM - Longworth's – Cincinnati, OH


    IT Martini, an IT networking group in Columbus, is holding their 3rd Cincinnati event next Thursday, the 29th at 5:30 pm at Longworth's.

    This IT Martini event is about the 'Renewed Technology Focus in 2010'. There will be IT professionals from all over Ohio, and companies like Cincytech and Pride Technologies will be hosting a tech talk and panel discussion.

    The Cincinnati .Net Users GroupCentral Ohio .NET Developers GroupDayton .Net Developers Group and Cincinnati SQL Users Group will be hosting this year's Central Ohio Day of .NET on June 5th, 2010

    This month Phil Japikse will be giving a talk on M-V-V-M (Model-View-View-Model) for WPF. Our own Mike Wood will be giving the grok talk on Powershell 2.

    Due to unforeseen circumstances Chris Woodruff will not be able to join us at our April meeting. We have substituted Phil Japikse in with a talk on M-V-V-M (Model-View-View-Model).

    The M-V-V-M pattern is the WPF adaptation of the Presentation Model pattern first docu-mented by Martin Fowler. In this session we will build an app that shows how the M-V-V-M pattern is utilized for building SOLID WPF applications that are also testable.

    Mike Wood will be giving the grok talk on Powershell 2.

    What is BitSlingers?

    This is an informal meetup of people interested in learning from one another. Bring your laptop and pair up with someone to work on an open source project, learn a new technique, or even dabble in a new language. There is no agenda or specific topic, just a time set aside for people to pair.

    The meetup officially kicks off at 6:00PM, but lasts until the last pair breaks up, or they kick us out. Feel free to come and join us for as long, or as short, of a time as you want to.

    NOTE: There will be no food provided, but hey, we're at Panera.

    Come join this new special interest group as we discuss topics related to software architecture. 

    This meeting is run using an open discussion or open fishbowl technique where the attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts with everyone while keeping the meeting from becoming a free for all. :)

    What topic will we cover?  Well, that's up to the attendees!

    Mobile Development Firestarter
    Saturday, April 24th - 9:00AM to 5:00PM - Microsoft Offices - Mason, OH

    On April 24th CINNUG and the iPhone Developers User Group will host the Mobile Firestarter event.  We will spend the day covering three of the mobile platforms:  Android, iPhone and Windows Mobile. 

    All three platform sessions will build the same application so you can concentrate on the tools and techniques being used. 

    At the end of the day you should have a good base understanding of the moving parts of the platforms, the tools used to create mobile applications and the differences between each of the platforms so you can make decisions for future projects.

    This event will be hosted by CINNUG and the iPhone Developer's Group which also meets at MAX. For more information see our Special Events page.
