Welcome to the blog for the Cincinnati .Net Users Group.

March 2010 Meeting Reminder

Hey Folks!

CINNUG is still looking for feedback. We’re working on topics for our Firestarters, Special Events and One-day Events. What would you like to see?  Send your suggestions to marketing@cinnug.org.

Jeff Blankenburg is coming to speak to us about all the cool announcements and highlights from the Microsoft MIX conference. Our own Joe Wirtley will be giving the grok talk as an Introduction to Continuous Integration with Teamcity.

We also wanted to remind everyone that this is the last month that CINNUG will be accepting donations for the Ed Smith Memorial. If you would still like to donate, please contact one of the directors for more information.

April Bitslingers
Monday, April 5th - 6:00PM at Panera Bread on Mason Montgomery in Mason, OH

What is Bitsligners?

This is an informal meetup of people interested in learning from one another. Bring your laptop and pair up with someone to work on an open source project, learn a new technique, or even dabble in a new language. There is no agenda or specific topic, just a time set aside for people to pair.

The meetup officially kicks off at 6:00PM, but lasts until the last pair breaks up, or they kick us out. Feel free to come and join us for as long, or as short, of a time as you want to.

NOTE: There will be no food provided, but hey, we're at Panera.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
Mobile Development Firestarter
Saturday, April 24th – 9:00AM to 5:00PM – Microsoft Offices – Mason, OH

On April 24th CINNUG and the iPhone Developers User Group will host the Mobile Firestarter event.  We will spend the day covering three of the mobile platforms: Android, iPhone and Windows Mobile.

All three platform sessions will build the same application so you can concentrate on the tools and techniques being used.
At the end of the day you should have a good base understanding of the moving parts of the platforms, the tools used to create mobile applications and the differences between each of the platforms so you can make decisions for future projects.

This event will be hosted by CINNUG and the iPhone Developer's Group which also meets at MAX. For more information see our Special Events page.

This event is being sponsored by Pillar Technologies, Cincinnati Bell Technology Services, Sogeti and PSI Group.
