  • UC Celebrates 50 years of Computing

    Russ MacMahon, a member of the user group, has shared with us that UC will be celebrating 50 years of computing with a conference.  You can find out more about this event in the upcoming weeks by keeping an eye out on the Applied Science web site.  You can register at UC conferencing.

    Here are some of the topics for the conference:

    • Hans Jaffe and the early days of computing
    • Wearable and pervasive computing
    • Business of the Web and social networking
    • The rise of Photoshop and the devolution of truth

  • ArcReady and MSDN Unleashed Events on Oct 7th

    Mark your calendars!  Microsoft's free events for the fourth quarter of the year have been announced. 

    Both events will be on October 7th at the Microsoft Office in Mason.

    The ArcReady event is on "Architecting for the Modern Distributed Application".  This event will be from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.  [Register]

    MSDN Unleashed (the event formerly known as DevCares) will be held in the afternoon from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  The topics for this event are: "Demystifying WPF" and "Developing Applications with Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1". [Register]

  • TDD Talk this week at CincyPG

    Phil Japikse, who is a regular at the CINNUG and CinARC meetings, will be presenting his Test Driven Development in .NET talk for the Cincinnati Programmer's Guild (CincyPG) on Wednesday, July 20th (that's this Wednesday!).  If you aren't familiar with the CincyPG they are non-platform specific user group that meets at MAX on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM.  We have some cross over of members from our groups so if you want to learn more about the group ask Joe W. or Maggie L. about it at the next meeting.  You can find out more about the group at their website: http://cincypg.org/
