KForce Consulting is currently looking to fill 3 positions!

KForce is actively looking to fill 3 positions.  They are described in more detail below, but the positions are:

  • VB Developer for a contract to perm position.
  • .Net Application Developer/ Arechitect for a 6-12 month contract position. Contract could turn into a PERM position.
  • Internet/Web programmer for a short term project

VB Developer.  (Contract to perm position)
Description: Analyze, design, build, test, and implement/maintain the lines of business in this Personal Lines policy issuance software product. This position will involve current system maintenance, development of software for insurance filings, and new state rollout.
This position will include interacting with third party vendors to learn, support, maintain and enhance the policy issuance system as well as other related software systems.

Requirements: Dynamic, professional, team-oriented, self-motivated individual; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related discipline; 7+ years VB development experience with SQL Server, COM, COM+, and MTS; experience with .net applications is desired; strong analytical, communication and organizational skills; ability to work on multiple assignments; able to trouble shoot, debug and problem solve at the highest level; ability and desire to mentor others. Experience with XML and XSL Transformations. Familiarity with Personal Lines property and casualty insurance is a plus.

.Net Application Developer/ Arechitect (6-12 month contract position. Contract could turn into a PERM position)

Requirements and Education:
Expert level of knowledge of computer applications, programming and systems design/analysis.  Exceptional logical, analytical and problem solving skills.
Detailed knowledge of industry trends with excellent skills in planning and organizing.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills and be able to work in a team environment and/or otherwise as required.

Technical Skills:
Must have 5 plus years of working experience in .Net, ASP, C/C++, ActiveX, Scripting (VB, Java), IIS, ISAPI/NSAPI. Must have 5 plus years of working experience in Cold Fusion, VB, HTML/DHTML, SQL Server, Oracle. Must have 5 plus years of working experience in ER diagrams, SQL and designing database.  2 years of experience with Clear Case
2 years of XML (configuration and parsing). Must have understanding and preferably working experience in COM/DCOM and CORBA. Knowledge of other technologies in web development preferred Experience with managing/working large systems and using existing frameworks is a plus Experience with application and system architecture Must be able to work well with team members (engineering, development, support and other groups in the bank).
Be able to mentor junior staff members.
Knowledge and experience in the RUP methodology is preferred.
Management/Leadership skills are a plus.
Microsoft certification preferred.

Internet/Web programmer (for a short term project)
Requires experience with C#.net, ASP, C/C++, Cold Fusion, ActiveX, VB, HTML/DHTML and an understanding of COM/DCOM, CORBA and linking back-end applications.
Analyzes, designs, implements and supports web-related applications support of company's internet/intranet strategy. Maintains e-commerce or business-related applications.

Skills: MCP + Internet, Win 95/98/NT, Script, VB Script, PERL, XML, VRML, HTML, SQL Server, Oracle, MS Front Page, Cold Fusion, Visual Interdev, ActiveX, JAVA Applets, ISAP/NSAPI, MS IIS.

Behavior Characteristics:
Strong English skills/communication skills and ability to work independently.

Technical Skills:
C# .net: Required
T-SQL/SQL Database Development: Required
MVC Design Pattern: Highly desired
Visual Source Safe: Required
ASP.net: Required
