    Software Architecture in .Net

Often a software developer learns what a programming tool or language can do, but neglects to discover what he or she should do when building a system. Over the life of a software system, the “what should I do?” questions become much more important than the “how do I?” questions. In this presentation we will look at a few common architectural blunders, some frequently used architectures, and work through an example of a general purpose MS .NET architecture that can adapt to change and grow as a system grows.

    Rob Keefer

Rob Keefer has architected four mid-sized applications over the past six years. This experience has given him a unique perspective and a pragmatic approach to software architecture. Rob has led a number of software development teams and has been published in several software development magazines. He wrote his first computer program as a high-school student on the Atari 800XL Computer. Rob went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Masters Degree in Computer Science. He has been working in the industry for over 15 years.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 6:00PM at Max Technical Training.
